students may change their objectives and will work with you to find the best solution for their needs.
Whilst English is the international language of business, China is a big player in global trade. Having a second language such as Chinese could give your child the upper hand in a job application where it would be an advantageous skill. It is a well-known fact that immersion study of languages is by far the most productive way to learn. What better way to learn than going straight from the classroom out in the street and using the language in a practical environment.
An annual school fee for the Chinese Campus is $25900, which includes tuition fees, boarding fees, insurance and school activities (YORK Schools alumni family members will be evaluated by the Chinese Campus for a scholarship). The living costs being much lower than most Western countries, it could be a very economical way to study even after the cost of flights and other travelling expenses are added. By comparison, a single bus leg costs $0.28 which will usually get you to your destination, and a bottle of pop just $0.42. So, day to day expenses can be relatively low. Further to this, the benefits of the experience are much harder to put into monitory value as we are sure you will agree.
Students will mix with Chinese students in a fully immersed programme design to look after their needs as foreign students whilst enjoying regular life as a student in China. They will spend some of the most important years of their lives growing in a very different culture than their own and make many friends both in the school and out. This unique experience will give them fond memories and talking points for many years to come whether it be about the cuisine they try, the places they visit or the people they meet and we hope you enjoy
sharing in their experience too.

Many of these arts are taken up in public by people of all ages such as in parks and squares with any passers-by being encouraged to join in.
We like to keep the students active with a wide variety of activities according to the time of year. Skiing for the winter in the nearby mountains that surround the city, horse riding, canoeing, archery, diving, or climbing one of China’s five famous mountains in warmer weather. Jinan also has a fair share of cultural activities such as concerts and theatre productions. The provincial museum, art gallery, and sports grounds are all located within walking distance of each other in the newly developed Technology District which will also provide many hours of entertainment with regular exhibit changes throughout the year.
Student’s progress will be monitored throughout their stay here in China and will be regularly made available for parents to observe and receive feedback. Grading is carried out regularly much the same as the American schooling system with Mid-terms and Finals each year. Outside of these standard practices, parents are welcome to contact the school to discuss their child’s progress and any concerns that they may have.
